Now is the time to design and plan your spring gardens. The winter months are a great time to reflect on the success and failures in the landscape. Did weather, insects, or some other factors contribute to your garden conditions. NOW is the time to amend the soil; feed, adjust the pH, send soil samples off to the lab and prepare for the spring. Fall is a great time to transplant. If you missed that window consider root pruning some of the larger specimens you plan to transplant in the spring. We can still plant bulbs until the ground freezes. Continue to prune and remove storm damage from plantings.
